Obama Hosting Super Bowl Party At the White House?!

It’s true! President Obama is inviting a few of his friends over to watch the big game this weekend at the White House and guess who’s on the guest list? Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony! The Bronx bombshell, who part-own the Miami Dolphins, was crazy excited when she received the invitation.

WENN reports:

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony have been invited to watch Sunday’s Super Bowl with U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House. The singers, who part-own the Miami Dolphins, couldn’t believe their eyes when they read the official invitation.

Lopez says, “I can’t believe it… I don’t even feel like it’s real!”

The pop star/actress has refused to reveal whether she’s backing the Green Bay Packers or the Pittsburgh Steelers in the big game, but she admits she’s a fan of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

No word on who else received an invite to Obama’s Super Bowl viewing.

Diddy Wants Obama To Do Better For Black People

Speaking of Obama, Diddy is on the cover of The Source and in it he tells the newly appointed managing editor and my good friend Reggie Osse a.k.a Combat Jack about his feelings on our president. Whew! It ain’t too pretty. Check it out an excerpt below:

Source: “What’s your assessment of President Obama thus far?”

Diddy: “I love the president like most of us. I just want the president to do better. There’s a difference between us voting for somebody and us believing in somebody. He’s the person that we believed in so I pray night and day that he understands how God ordained his presidency. I feel there was a promise made to God to look after people that was less fortunate, and [many] of those people are African-American…”

The President should choose doing the right thing, even if it isn’t easy politically. It’s something he might not get reelected for, but we elected him. He owes us. I’d rather have a black president that was man enough to say that he was doing something for black people have one term than a president who played the politics game have two terms.

Usher Joining BEP At Super Bowl Half Time

Usher just scored himself a performance with Black Eyed Peas at this Sunday’s Super Bowl during Half Time taking place in Arlington Texas. He won’t be the only one taking advantage of the festivities!

WENN reports:

The Peas were announced as the 2011 big game mid-point stars last year, and now it appears they’ll have a couple of famous friends alongside them.

Both Usher and Slash has collaborated with members of the Boom Boom Pow hitmakers, and Slash previously took to the stage with the group for a rendition of Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine at the 2009 Rose Bowl.

Sounds interesting! In related news, Slash’s wife Perla Hudson has been accused of assaulting a woman backstage at an Ozzy Osbourne concert this week in Los Angeles. [read about it here]
Timbaland Saves House From Foreclosure

Big Pimpin’ must be a full-time job because too many entertainers are dealing with financial mismanagement in recent months. Timbaland is the most recent entertainer making headlines when he saved his Miami home from foreclosure. His financial advisor insists it was a misunderstanding because they didn’t receive any notification of the bills on his home.

WENN reports:

The hip-hop star, real name Timothy Mosley, was hit with a $18,833 lien by the building’s owner last August after allegedly failing to keep up with assessment fees for the $2.6 million condominium.

The quarterly bills soon grew to $27,000 – but Timbaland was unaware he was about to lose the property until journalists from The Detroit News contacted him for a comment on the story.

Their investigation prompted Timbaland to look into the matter himself and he instructed his representatives to settle the outstanding payments in full to avoid foreclosure.

Ll Jon Talks Being A Rapper on Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice”

Lil Jon recently revealed what he endured being a rapper on Donald Trump’s show “Celebrity Apprentice” and apparently bunch of hateration was going on. The reality competition doesn’t air until March, but Lil Jon is making it known now that he being a rapper made his teammates underestimate his business knowledge.

Popeater reports:

Celebenomics: So people discount you because you’re a rapper. Why are they wrong? Lil Jon:

I’m not just a rapper, and the music business has made me built for the kinds of challenges we do on the show. The hours we have to keep — I am in the studio from noon until 5 in the morning. I am used to working long hours with no sleep. Everyone on the show looked at me like, “He isn’t going to be able to do this,” and I proved them wrong.

What was your biz strategy going into the competition?

What I told my teammates is that we just can’t lose. We had to win and keep it real with each other. If someone f**ked up, they needed to admit to f**king up.

Who were you scared of?

Richard Hatch because he was on ‘Survivor’ and Star Jones because she is a lawyer and it is hard to beat a lawyer at anything.

Was there anyone you just hated?

I’m a people person. I can get along with the biggest a**holes in the world so I got along with pretty much everybody.

How did you prepare for the show?

I watched past seasons. I watched two seasons straight of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ to see what I was getting my damn self into and to make sure I was mentally prepared for this journey.

Are there any past contestants you tried to emulate?

I liked Bret Michaels a lot because he just kept it real and wore his heart on his sleeve.

Why did you decide to do the show?

There’s a bunch of reasons. I definitely wanted to help out people in need. [Jon's charity is the United Methodist Children's Home.] But I also wanted to dispel the rumor that rappers are blunt-smoking ignorant people.

Mr. Steal Your Girl Dropping New Album in 2011 Trey Songz recently spoke to Billboard about his plans for 2011 and revealed a new album is in the plans at the end of the year.

Billboard reports:

“I want to release an album this year,” the Atlanta-based R&B singer tells Billboard.com. “We’re starting in the studio now. I’m always thinking about music. I’m in the studio whenever I can be. I’m not pressed or in a rush to make an album right now, but I always have a need to make music.”

“I’m feeling very creative, though, so it may be something I’ve never done before. There’s always a certain amount of pressure there, but I like that. With every album, I definitely want to grow my audience as well as myself.”

Do ya thangy-thang, Trigga! Just make sure you work in a joint album with Drake at some point!

Ziggy Marley Launching Marijuanaman Comic! Where are all our weed heads at? Shame on you for smoking so damn much! April 20th is just around the corner and Ziggy Marley is launching a new project for you to Puff Puff and Pass!

For a long time Ziggy’s comic book on superhero MARIJUANAMAN has been talked about with no solid release date… until now! Yes, April 20th is the date you’ll be able to cop his hard work for the low, low price of $24.99! MARIJUANAMAN will be a 48-page oversized full-cover hardcover with credits to Ziggy Marley, Joe Casey, and Jim Mahfood.

ComicBookResources reports:

Based on a character conceived of by Ziggy Marley, written by Man of Action Studios JOE CASEY (GØDLAND, BUTCHER BAKER) and illustrated by JIM MAHFOOD (KICK DRUM COMIX, MIX TAPE), MARIJUANAMAN promises to shatter all expectations — this is not the comic you think it is! The oversized deluxe hardcover graphic novel tells the tale of a noble extraterrestrial champion, who has arrived on Earth to deliver an important message and at the same time save his own planet.

“MARIJUANAMAN represents the hope of the future… the hope that we will utilize all of the power that the universe has given us to save our planet,” Marley explained.

Casey spoke of being part of the creative trio, “Mahfood and I have been friends for over a decade and I’ve been a big fan of his for even longer. This was the perfect project for us to collaborate on because Ziggy’s given us a great concept to go nuts with. This book goes beyond just being a comic… this book is an experience.”

Mahfood added, “It’s been a really unique and thrilling project for me to work on. Ziggy Marley is a visionary and MARIJUANAMAN is his, so he’s involved in every step, but he’s also been cool enough to let Joe and I cut loose and really spread our artistic wings on this project. Through our collaboration, we are creating something that has a unique flavor and feeling. MARIJUANAMAN is not going to be what people except it to be.”
