Can Nicki Minaj & Lil Kim Ever Squash Their Beef? Eve Weighs In…

What's the Word

Hip Hop could use more female emcees more than ever, but the recent cat fights hinder any progress of making that happen. It makes people wonder if Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim ever squash their childish beef. While rapper/actress Eve was making her press rounds in the UK for her upcoming album Lip Lock(more on that below), she addressed that question blatantly and hasn’t been impressed at all by the feud:

“I need [Lil Kim] to stop. If I was Kim’s friend, I’d be like, yo. Because she’s Kim, period. So she never has to feed. She shouldn’t,” she told BBC Radio 1Xtra. “It’s bad. It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you. So that’s it.”

Hold up? Is Eve on Team Nicki’s side? From the looks of this observation regarding Nicki’s career so far, she might as well be the captain!

“I love [that Nicki is holding it down for the ladies]. You know, it’s definitely a nice group of females that’s out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop,” she continued. “Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that’s how girls supposed to do in hip-hop, but I’m loving everything she does. But we need more females, man. There’s too much testosterone in the hip-hop game.”

Eve is five songs away from completing her album Lip Lock and plans to kick off the promotion campaign with a Swizz Beatz produced track called “Mama’s In The Kitchen” which she describes as “ridiculous.” The song will be released in a few weeks, so that will be a great lookout for the fans.
