Roc4Life Exclusive: The-Dream Debuts New Single “Body Work/Fuck My Brains Out”

Music

The-Dream knows how to make an entrance. “Body Work/Fuck My Brains Out,” the latest single from his fourth album, opens with a creeping synth and steadily warms its way into a climax.

The 9-minute firestarter finds Dream putting his entire skillset on display–Prince-esque crooning, smart craftsmanship, and plenty of panting. The pace mimics a typical lovemaking session, building up with the smooth “Body Work” and exploding into the ecstatic, expletive-filled “Fuck My Brains Out.”

Once your ears have adjusted to the transition, pull up a chair and grab a cold beverage because this is where the Dream lunges into a no holds barred narrative about break-up sex with a certain ex. “Now, here’s a little something about my ex,” he sings, “she thought she was a super freak. She thought the sex was incredible until she met me.”

Just before Dream gets down and dirty, he offers this disclaimer: “If you’re under 18, mom and dad put your kids to sleep.” Later comes this grenade: “She looked into my eyes, turned around, got on her knees. She said ‘I know you’re a cheater, but boy before you leave, fuck my brains out, baby’.”

Wowzers.

Produced, written and arranged by Terius “The-Dream” Nash, “Body Work/Fuck My Brains Out” appears on the upcoming fourth album, The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man). We’re sure it won’t be the only instance of Dream mining personal experience for hits.

Love IV is slated for release his birthday, September 20th, and Dream plans to call in some favors.

“This album is gonna have more features, which is unique for me, ‘cause I usually don’t carry a lot of features,” Dream told MTV back in February. “I’m gonna try and get everybody. Wayne, Kanye, Jay-Z, Drake, Mary J. Blige, anybody that I’ve worked with or lent and hand to.”

2011 is about to get hornier.
