Foxy Brown: Hip-Hop’s Best Dressed Female Defendant
Unfortunately, we’re used to the fellas of getting into trouble with the law. Names like DMX, T.I. and Gucci Mane immediately give you thoughts of prison, because that’s where they spend most of their time.
But the women in hip-hop don’t have the cleanest records either. The difference is, they do it in style. This week, Foxy Brown was seen rejoicing in court after a Brooklyn judge dropped charges against her. First thing I noticed? Foxy clad in oversized shades and a Chanel bag.
She may have been facing prosecution for violating an order of protection against her neighbor; however, if she was found guilty, she would have gone to jail in style.
Then, I thought about it. She’s always clad in a Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Fendi bag, with Matching eyewear and designer duds.
Complimented with perfect accessories…
I swear she looks better when she hits the court room, than when she hits the stage.
I’m just sayin’…
If appearance means anything to the judge, Foxy’s clean look may will get her off 75% of the time.
She’s in court more than she’s on stage, and almost always gets off with a slap on the wrist, unlike her counterparts who usually land in the pen after their first court experiences. Maybe they should have gone to Chanel first?
Lil’ Kim was more dressed down than glammed up for the most part.
And Remy Ma‘s style screams: “Just came from the block”

With her recent legal issues, I’m curious to see what Nicki Minaj will show up to court in, if she makes it there.
One thing’s for sure, when it comes to the females in hip-hop, the courtroom is Foxy’s runway.
