As we approach the last stretch of J. Cole’s debut, the North Carolina MC only appears to be gathering steam. In the third installment of Cole’s interview with Rap-Up.com (guys, how many of these things did you stash?), the Roc Nation star says that he plans to drop yet another mixtape before Cole World: The Sideline Story, which comes out September 27.

“It’s not gonna be The Warm Up or Friday Night Lights,” he explained. “I treated those like albums, this is going to be more of a true mixtape.”

The streets is watching.
