Chart Report: Kelly Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ off to a Slow Start

Music

The third time certainly hasn’t been the charm for Kelly Rowland. The singer’s Here I Am album enters the Billboard 200 in the top 3 but with her lowest first-week sales to date.

The LP sold just under 77k in the last 7 days, matching her Simply Deep debut as the slowest seller of her career thus far. Adding insult to injury, Adele’s 21 has outpaced Rowland’s project by selling 83k (total: 2.83 million) at #2 despite being in stores since February 22nd.

One spot below Here I Am is Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black which climbs 5 spots to #4 with 54k (total: 2.39 million) while Beyonce’s 4 dips to #6 with 41k copies sold (total: 593k). Moreover, Bad Meets Evil’s Hell: The Sequel nabs the #10 spot with 26k for a new total of 396k.

Beyond the top 10, Lady GaGa’s Born This Way sold 25k (total: 1.65 million) at #11, whereas DJ Khaled’s We The Best Forever garnered 21k (total: 74k) at #14. Furthermore, Jill Scott’s Light of The Sun drops to #27 but still moved another 14k (273k).

Meanwhile, Big Sean’s Finally Famous holds the #30 position with 13k units (total: 160k) and Pitbull Planet Pit lands at #32 with just under 13k (total: 143k). One spot below Pit at #33 is Amy Winehouse’s Frank debut album which sold 12k (total: 301k).

Finally, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday places at #37 with 12k (total 1.5 million) and Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans rests at #38 with 12k (total: 1.2 million).

That’s it for this week’s chart report. See you next week!
