Black Girls Rock Fashion Hits and Misses
The 2011 Black Girls Rock Awards co-Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King were taped this weekend in New York City! The star-studded show is heading back to the famed Paradise Theater in the Bronx and will air on BET Nov. 6, 2011. Your favorite ladies were on deck for the festivities, most quite stylish and some missed the style train completely.
Tracee Ellis and Regina king hosted the event. Regina rocked a white jump suit, which almost worked but due to her muscular build she should definitely avoid plunging necks with no sleeves. She looks like a wrestler. I love Tracee. The end. lol
Taraji P. Henson, Angela Davis and Erykah Badu were all on hand. Erykah was ready for her trip back to Mars after the taping.
Estelle looked lovely in a red gown with an amazing upper pleated detail.
LaLa Anthony chose a white lace dress with a long side split. Not really a fan but I mean, it wasn’t bad.
Jill was cute in all black and curly locks.
Mary looked amazing in black wide leg slacks with an empire-waist and blue silk blouse with bell bottom sleeves. Very retro, very chic.
Celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie was on deck with Young Money’s Chanel. I can’t ever deal with that chain belt that Chanel wears from her nose to her ear.
Melanie Fiona color blocked while posing with celebrity choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson.
Regina looked like Lady Gaga’s back-up singer when she changed into another look.
I really love Regina, but her life choices are puzzling.
