Toast and jelly. Donuts and coffee. Whataburger’s chicken nuggets and gravy. Some things are just better together. The hip-hop duo of Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff is definitely one of those things. Fans of the “Summertime” hit makers will be glad to learn that they’re back together.

“He came down like two weeks ago and was like, ‘Yo, I wanna get back into the studio, and we just knocked out some stuff,” Jeff told XXL-Mag.com. “I just think more than anything there is no set pattern, no set plan, but we just wanna go into the studio and see what we come out with.”

Jeff continued: “If I can get it back to the way we used to make music, you know, it used to be just me and him in the room. You don’t need no entourages and cameras and all of that and see what happens. He hasn’t decided exactly what he wants to do.”
To put this in perspective, the duo’s last collaborative album was 1993′s Code Red. Will Smith hasn’t released a solo album since 2005. Still, I’m excited to see them shake off the rust and give it one last go for old time’s sakes.
