Common and Drake Are Totally Cool Again

What beef? Common and Drake are like totally cool again, y’all. They quietly squashed their beef at the Grammys a few weeks back.
“We had a talk, we had a conversation,” Common recalled in an MTV News interview. “It was a face-to-face, man-to-man, a positive thing. It was a good conversation. I’ve learned to respect him even more. I already thought he was a talented guy, but just from the conversation we had, I hold even more respect for him.
They ran into each other again at last night’s NBA All-Star game in Orlando. As you can see from this picture, the two men exchanged pleasantries and shared a laugh (possibly a joke about Serena’s thunder thighs).
Late last year, Comm and Drizzy started trading barbs after the Chi-City veteran called out sweet emcees on a song called “Sweet,” which Drake perceived as a subliminal diss. And so then Drake went monkey bananas on Common, coyly dissing him on “Stay Schemin’,” which prompted the Common response “Stay Schemin’” Remix, a smackdown complete with a Destiny’s child sample and the T-shirt-worthy dig, “You aint wetting nobody nigga, you Canada Dry.”
Anyhow, we’re glad these two are cool again. That’s really sweet (pun well intended). Looking forward to the collab, fellas.
