Music Roundup: Chris Brown, Usher, and Mary J. Blige

Music

The last 24 hours have been quite busy in the music industry. Yet, you don’t need to fret because Roc4Life has compiled a compilation of all the most exciting happenings in our music roundup!

New Song: Chris Brown – “How I Feel”

First up, we have Chris Brown who released a controversial new song that addresses the elephant in the room that has been sitting on his career for over three years – domestic violence. “How I Feel” reflects on Brown’s tumultuous childhood as well as the events that led to his breakup with Rihanna.

We’re not going to comment on this one. However, we will say this: happy belated International Women’s Day!

New Video: Usher – “Climax”

Remember when Usher stated that his new song, “Climax”, isn’t about sex? Well, it appears that he was telling the truth because he has released the song’s accompanying video and it reflects the love triangle theme about which he hinted.

The “Climax” video is dark and brooding with slight similarities to the work of R. Kelly. In contrast, strippers and piss weren’t involved.

Mary J. Blige Performs On American Idol

Mary J. Blige finally got her groove back on the American Idol stage last evening. The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul performed “Why” from her My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1) album for the crowd and reminded us of the reason we fell in love with her during the 1990s. Blige’s voice isn’t the same but she still knows how to make us rock to the beat!
