Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” Video Looks Eerily Similar to N’Sync’s “Girlfriend”
Remember ‘N Sync’s “Girlfriend” video? Well, Justin Bieber must think we forgot that clip because he basically recreated it with “Boyfriend”.
Teaming up with directors Colin Tilley and X, Bieber crafted a blatant copy of ‘N Sync’s “Girlfriend.” The visual was even shot in the same setting and time of day!
However, don’t accuse Bieber of theft because he never saw “Girlfriend.” Speaking to MTV’s Sway shortly after the debut of “Boyfriend,” Bieber pretended to be clueless about his predecessor’s work and shrugged when asked about the comparisons.
So, the only conclusions that could be gathered from this are that Bieber is lying or he is just a pawn under the direction of his handlers. Strangely, that latter view seems more likely.
