The Cool Club: Jay-Z, Adele, Andre 3000, etc
OK so another month has passed and we are back to give the nod to various celebs and individuals who have done something pretty outstanding things over the last month.
From secret weddings to festival announcements to hip-hop beefs, this month’s Cool Club takes it all on board.

Adele
There is simply no ignoring the sophomore album from Adele, 21. This month she added 12 Billboard Music Awards to her extensive silver collection for the album which has spawned hits such as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You”. Her current tally for awards from this album is 71. Not bad going for a second album.

Jay Z
We might be a lil biased here in the Roc offices, but seriously who wasn’t impressed when Jay Z announced the Made in America festival in May? Bringing together some of the most legendary artists representing all different genres for a concert in the City of Brotherly Love in September is a more than cool move with us.

Mr and Mrs Zuckerberg
So the Facebook founder wed his college sweetheart shortly after the company floated on the stock exchange but there was no formal announcement in the mass media. The happy couple announced their nuptials simply by changing their status on Facebook to ‘married’.

Pusha T
“Exodus 23:1,” do we need to say anything more? Nothing like a bit of lyrical beef served up with a side of inventive wordplay. If that was Round One, Pusha T had Weezy grabbing for the ropes.

Jonathan Ive
You may not be familiar with his name, but you’ve used one of his designs at one point or another. He is the Apple designer responsible for the iPod, iPad and iPhone. Born in England, Jonathan Ive is now Sir Jonathan Ive having been knighted in London for his contribution to design.

Andre 3000
By far one of my favorite lyricists, Andre 3000 has been finding himself in front of a camera more than in front of a mic these days which to some might be a huge disappointment; but when he is taking on the role of Jimi Hendrix how can we stay mad? Andre started filming the biopic this month in Ireland, under the watchful eye of director John Ridley, with the movie slated for a 2013 release.
