Roc4Life favorite Mel Carter is back with another beautiful video.

“Black Rose,” off his Popular Stranger mixtape, is a smooth gem about a special woman. “Body slim like a stem, no thorn/She’s my black rose,” he rhymes. The beautiful Sonyae Elise makes a cameo in the IKenVision-directed video. Elise won the inaugural edition of Platinum Hit, the Bravo show about songwriters.

Kid Carter released his Popular Stranger mixtape in September. The project drew applause from the likes of Charlamagne tha God, Lowkey, and more. If you haven’t heard Popular Stranger, go ahead and grab it here.
