Roc Nation’s own Bridget Kelly covers the December digital installment of Stuff Fly People Like.

Clad in denim and lace and oozing plenty of swag, the beautiful songstress is just what the doctor ordered, as she strikes a pose for the second digital cover of the lifestyle blog, Stuff Fly People Like.

Team SFPL has been buzzing about Bridget Kelly before she signed with the greatest label in these streets. And now, after the success of her EP and the release of her single “Special Delivery,” people are starting to take notice of the Roc princess. Kelly’s career has seen her record with some of the best in the business. She’s also dined with the the First Family, as well as hip hop’s royal family the Carters. “Honestly, it was an outer body experience for me. Obviously it’s one thing to be in cahoots with the Carters, and to go to an event to meet the President is the next level,” says Kelly.

BK also discussed her new single, “Special Delivery,” her influences, and getting signed to Roc Nation. She even shared some advice from boss man Mr. Carter.

On Her Musical Inspirations (Past & Current):

“When I was a kid I listened to a lot of Mariah CareyWhitney Houston, Alanis Morissette is another one, Fiona Apple, Brandy, Tank. Those were artists that I looked to for inspiration. When I got a little older Lauryn Hill definitely was an influence just with all the emotions in her records. I always wanted to implement that in music as well.”

On Jay-Z’s Advice:

“The most important advice is to remain humble and patient. Also to always be grateful for everyone that’s around you. Someone like Jay has a lot of people around him from the very beginning. He’s been loyal to his crew and all of his friends. There’s a couple of people that work for his enterprise. I think he’s very grateful for everyone’s contribution to his efforts and his success.”

On What To Expect from Her Album:

“Special Delivery was definitely the launch pad. Putting it out has reminded people that I’m not asleep. I’m working hard still trying to perfect my craft. As far as the album goes, I worked with a lot of the same people that I worked with on the EP like Shea Taylor, James Fauntleroy, Cristyle who is an amazing writer who did Special Delivery actually, and Jerry Wonder who is another great producer. I think that I am blessed to be able to call some of the heavy hitters for this project and I think everyone is going to love it.”
