The Voice Honors Newtown Victims

Music

The world is still in shock regarding the Newtown massacre. Thankfully, music has the ability to heal and several of music’s biggest stars have stepped forward to help resolve the tension.

Bruno Mars appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show to perform a rendition of “Count on Me”. Lifting the spirits of the audience, the singer-songwrtier spread a hopeful message as he played his little guitar and let his giant curly fro go free.

Last night, The Voice took things in a different direction with a more sombre tribute. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine formed a choir with the contestants as they wafter through a rendition of “Hallelujah”.

26 people were killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. Among the victims where 20 children and 6 adults. Our prayers go out to their families.
