T.I. Scores Big Debut With ‘Trouble Man’

Santa brought the Harris household a special gift this year. Instead of candy or jewelery, St. Nick presented T.I. with his eighth top 10 album.
Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head entered the Billboard 200 at #2 this week. Standing as T.I’s eighth top 10 album, the record sold 179,000 copies, just 1,000 more than Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox, which sold 178,000 in its second week.
Impressively, Trouble Man beat the first week sales figures of T.I’s previous effort, No Mercy. Although it eventually achieved gold status in the US with sales close to 600,000 copies, the LP only opened with 160,000 units. Merry Christmas!
