Earlier in the day, Alicia Keys premiered her video for “Brand New Me” on BET’s 106 & Park.

It’s one of the darker videos I’ve seen from Keys. The concept and tones echo the song’s somber yet defiant sentiment. Veteran lenswoman Diane Martel (Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had,” Neyo’s “Lazy Love,” etc) directed it. Keys and Martel previously teamed up on “If I Ain’t Got You” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.”
