Wale – “Too Much Talk”

Music

Santa Wale came bearing gifts last night.

Keeping to his promise of a freebie, the DC rapper unleashed “Too Much Talk” for his Twitter faithfuls who are patiently counting down to the arrival of his Folarin mixtape. Produced by C.Note, “Too Much Talk” finds Wale dropping a torrent of bars on everything from rap life to the Newtown massacre.

It starts with a bit of spoken word (his secret weapon). He’s just getting warmed up, though, as the track soon transforms into a calm yet ferocious rhyming session, replete with nuggets of philosophy. “A man has zero if a man has limits,” he raps. Later, he offers a prayer for victims of the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. “Today I wrote a great rhyme and read news of a new Columbine/The world’s good, it’s the people crazy, so we pray for Newtown.”

“Too Much Talk” will not appear on Wale’s Folarin, which is still set for Christmas Eve (December 24).

OK, enough talk. Here’s the track.
