Watch: Ciara, Melanie Fiona, More at Vh1 Divas

Everybody loves divas and last night, Vh1 had an entire special dedicated to those powerful women in music. The 2012 Vh1 Divas: Diva Dance Party dominated the airwaves, thanks to showings by Ciara, Melanie Fiona and others!
Celebrating the history of dance music, this year’s Vh1 Divas show paid homage to several of the genre’s greatest artists, such as Madonna and Michael Jackson. No show would be complete, however, without honoring two of the icons who helped make the Vh1 Divas franchise and the Save the Music Foundation so successful — Whitney Houston and Donna Summer.
Ciara had the privilege of performing the Jackson tribute, while Melanie Fiona teamed with Melanie Fiona and Ledisi to sing Houston’s praises. In the case of Summer, it was Kelly Rowland, host Adam Lambert and Keri Hilson who delivered renditions of the Queen of Disco’s biggest hits.
All in all, it was a good show but far from the best Vh1 Divas special. What was the big issue? There were no true megastar dance divas in the mix! Where were Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue? Probably at home watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
