J. Cole’s ‘Born Sinner’ Delayed
If you’re on the edge of your seat waiting for J. Cole’s Born Sinner, back up a bit.
J. Cole’s sophomore effort, Born Sinner, was originally scheduled to drop on his birthday, January 28th. Unfortunately, the album has been pushed back.
“It’s not gonna make January 28, it’s gonna be a little later than that,” Cole revealed at the Tao nightclub before his New Year’s Eve performance. “I needed a little more time than that to get things done.”
Cole later reiterated his stance during a recent PopStop interview: “January 28th, that’s my birthday. It felt special to announce that,” he said. “In a perfect world it would come out on the 28th, but even when I announced that I knew that it was very far fetched.”
Last November, Cole announced the title of his new album through a Ustream video (below). He followed up the announcement with the release of a new single “Miss America,” which may or may not be on Born Sinner.
We’re not mad that Cole is taking his time to perfect his next outing. We’re sure it will be worth the extra touch.
What 2013 albums are you psyched about?
