Yesterday, Kanye West announced that Kim Kardshian is pregnant with their first child. Now, the lady of his life has reached out to her fans to confirm the news.

In a blog entry called “New Year, New Beginnings,”  Kim thanked her family and fans for their supported, and shared the joy that she feels about her new baby. Although she didn’t state exactly when she found out she was pregnant, TMZ estimates that the baby was conceived in October during Kim and Kanye’s trip to Italy to celebrate Kim’s 32nd birthday.

It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family.
