Asher Roth - Hip Hop's Don Imus or Just a Joke Gone Wrong?

Twitter is the latest social networking craze to hit the mainstream, and all of the celebrities seem to be taking full advantage of the fact that they can interact with fans easily and at the drop of a dime. At the same time, it also must be said that people, celebs especially, have to definitely watch what they say because the WHOLE WORLD is definitely watching.

Hip Hop newcomer, Asher Roth, who is garnering a lot of Eminem comparisons simply because of the color of his skin, is the latest to fall victim to a slip of the tongue on Twitter.

Last night, in a joking manner, he reportedly said "Been a day of rest and relaxation...Sorry Twitter, just hanging out with nappy headed hoes".

This, of course, caused many "twitterers" to go into a frenzy, calling him "hip hop's Don Imus", "racist", and other similar names.

He later tried to cover it up, and then SOHH's Gyant, even reported that his account was hacked. *BLANK STARE*

Yeah, Asher could have been joking and meant no harm, but at the same time, Don Imus also said that he was joking when he first uttered the term.
