Jimi Hendrix is one of music’s legendary artists. The singer, songwriter, and guitarist was ahead of his time with his music. His experimental sound made a mark in music history. Although he was classified in the Rock genre, his music was heard all over. Aside from creating amazing tunes, he was a genius with the electric guitar. His rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” at Woodstock in ’69 was epic. That was easily his best and most memorable performance.
He has a bevy of songs, projects, and albums that play a major part in music. When people began sampling, many of his albums were used to create other hits. Artists like the Pharcyde, Beastie Boys, and Cypress Hill are amongst a few of the people who sampled his sound. Check out some of the clips below to see which songs have that Hendrix sample.
