The 90’s were such an important time for hip-hop and R&B music. Better known as “the Golden Era”, the albums and projects that were dropped during that time are considered classics. They definitely set the bar for music going forward. A lot of people still listen to music that came from that time, hoping that music of today could deliver that same sound. Not possible. Faith Evans decided to take us back with news that she will be releasing a new album. Titled “the King & I”, this new album will be a compilation of unreleased tracks that feature the late Notorious B.I.G.
The 25-track project includes features from everyone from Lil’ Cease to Lil Kim. This album comes 20 years after the posthumous release of his second album, Life After Death. The release date is set for May 19th, two days before the rappers born day. The tracklist is listed below and it sounds like it has potential to be a banger.
In other news… CNN decided to make this announcement on Twitter and made a HUGE mistake. Instead of citing Faith Evans as the artist, they gave country singer Faith Hill the credit. Twitter went ham. You can see all the backlash here. ENJOY!
