‘Same Drugs’ | Chance The Rapper Gives Facebook Live Purpose

Facebook Live has become a nemesis to some. People use it to broadcast all kinds of things and we have to see the content whether we want to or not. There are some who need to have that social media privilege revoked while others make it work in their favor. Chance the Rapper is one of those people who recently made it pop. He used it to release his visual for the track ’Same Drugs’ off the infamous Coloring Book album that dropped last year.

While Facebook Live is used to broadcast events as they are happening, Chance used it a little different. He streamed a pre-recorded video with the help of his puppet friend behind the piano. They hit the track as a duet with Chance on the keys. The video switches over to Hi-Def as he and the puppets end production and walk off set.

Chance appeals to a younger audience who don’t use Facebook that much. While Facebook is the grown folks choice of social network, Chance had a very good reason for why he used it. He tried to use some of the other social media platforms but they wouldn’t allow him to air the video live. That seems silly since we see a lot of other nonsense airing live…but whatever. He told his followers on Twitter to “Log Off” and head over to Facebook to see the video. He made it work in his favor either way. Press play on the video above and let us know what you think.
